    UPDATE: I've updated my review after a few months of the new management being here. They're not perfect, but they're improving. They still *never* turn on the AC in the laundry room (something that I hope changes because it gets intensely hot there and I always leave sweaty and annoyed), and there are a lot of dead leaves and some trash on the ground, so I do wish they took better care of the property. That being said, maintenance hasn't personally given me any problems at finishing things on time (except once early on, when they said they were coming on a Friday and never showed). Also, I haven't seen the guy who worked at the office and who didn't seem to like his job. I have hope that maybe they'll continue improving within the next few months. My old review: I had originally given this property a 4-star review. But then a new management took over in October 2016 and they haven't been that great. As with anything, there are good and bad things. Here are the good things about Viera Bayside: - Convenient location, close to both Tampa and downtown St. Pete - Lots of trees - Each building gets a view of a fountain - Many of the units look updated - It's a generally a really quiet and peaceful property In truth, this property has a lot of potential, but the management kind of squanders it. Today, for instance, I went to the laundry room and not a single washing machine was working. We never got an email or notice about that. That being said, here are my other complaints about the property: - There's dog and duck poop all over the sidewalks - The grounds are covered in dead leaves (and therefore dead grass), and there's a lot more litter than there was before - The office is terrible at calling back. I've had to leave them after-hour voicemails because they close the office before I get out of work. All of my messages have been respectful and about genuine concerns, but I haven't received a single callback. - Overall, the office staff is pretty bad. One guy who works there (possibly the only person who works there, besides the manager), Nate, clearly does not like his job. Anytime I've had a concern and spoken with him, he just says, "Yeah, we're working on that and get it fixed tomorrow," except it doesn't get fixed. He seems pretty out of the loop and provides you with a quick answer so you'll hang up and leave him alone.

  • Awesome Staff! They have made lots of improvements to the community especially around pool area. I would refer everybody I know here. Maintenance is outstanding! Even stopped when I had locked my keys in the car and helped me call a locksmith. The people that complain are the ones that don't want to follow the rules but I love the fact that management doesn't let people do whatever they want. They are very reasonable and very easy to talk to if you have an issue. My neighbors are all super great and the community is like a really nice park with trees and a walking bridge and I love walking my dog around here. Its gated which I love and management fixes that gate quickly after impatient people run into it. The apartments are updated and very cute. Victoria the manager and her staff are A++++

    Pros: ~The location is great. It is close to the interstate for full access to all the great parts of Pinellas County. ~Neighbors are very friendly. ~The complex is overall very accommodating to pets. Cons: ~Lack of communication. At first I thought it was due to the constant change of management. Unfortunately, this is not true! The company in charge now is the worst by far. We have filled out paperwork multiple times due to it "not being on file". ~Final account statement will be filled with fees and charges causing you to not only lose your deposit, but owe more money on top of it. ~When trying to get an explanation of the fees, you will hear every excuse in the book (when you are able to get a hold of someone) all just to never receive the explanation. Tips: DON'T But if you do, be sure to take pictures of EVERYTHING before moving out so that they cannot do this to you!
